(hover to read)
Harry swerves his car off the road to avoid a small, child-like silhouette in the road, & gets knocked out from the crash. The two get seperated, & Harry follows small glimpses of his daughter through the nightmarish deserted city.
Cheryl's loving father never gives up search for her. He trudges through the ghost town, all while Dahlia Gillespie taunts Harry with words from her religion, the Order. He fights his way until the end, where he finds his daughter in Nowhere.
"I've been expecting you.
It was foretold by Gyromancy."

St. Alessa Gillespie
Mother of God, Daughter of God.
Fourteen years ago, Dahlia sought out her own daughter, Alessa, to be a surrogate for the birth of the Order's God. Alessa attempted to retaliate, & in the firey ritual process, used her supernatural powers to split her being into two to stop the God's birth. One part of her became the very daughter Harry adopted years ago, Cheryl. Alessa suffered fatal, but un-healable burns covering her entire body, yet her mother used a magical incantation to keep her alive & in pain for years, hoping that one day the God could be still be born.
Thus, everything went according to Dahlia's plans; both halves of her soul are finally brought back together in the story's finale. Alessa & Cheryl together form into a radiant, celestial being; Incubator.
Immediately upon her transformation, she uses her abilities to summon lightning & kill her mother, & priestess of the Order, Dahlia. Depending on Harry's actions thus far, he could be forced to fight the Incubator, where he will kill the angel-like manifestation of his daughter.
"Thank you, daddy.
Goodbye."

Incubus, illustrated for Silent Hill's vinyl art
This Baphomet-like creature emerges from within the Incubator's back, revealing the true deity worshipped by the Order. Harry defeats the demon, which immediately causes the collapse of the Otherworld.
But, even the killing of their God doesn't bring back Cheryl.

The Incubator & Harry Mason
Silent Hill Novel
Harry escapes the cursed town with his new daughter in his arms.
personally, i don't consider any of the later "western" silent hill's canon outside of their own games (homecoming also has alex turn into pyramid head?!) but, i do think it's interesting that she's not mentioned at all in 3. rip queen, you looked so good sitting on the carousel.
Silent Hill 3

A bloody rabbit costume,
sitting in Lakeside Amusement Park
Upon entering the fairgrounds, she is attacked by bandaged dogs with their heads split in two, longlegged creatures with even longer club-like arms & a singular pair of lips for faces, & squealing torsos with a head on both ends walking on long, thin & sharp blades. She narrowly escapes the monsters by running on a rollercoaster track, where she is hit by a coaster's cart.

Heather, sleeping in a diner
The man introduces himself as Douglas, a detective hired by someone who wants to speak with her.
"It's about your birth."

Silent Hill 3's save background
She attempts to escape through the window, only to find the tight alley is blocked in by a van & debris. Her only option is to go back into the mall through a different door.
This time, the mall is different. The canines & clubbed-armed beings she saw a moment ago in her nightmare are somehow here before her eyes. A gun is lying on the floor, & as she picks it up, she notices the prior owner dead on the ground as a creature is eating their body. Heather defends herself & continues looking for an escape.
"They've come to witness the beginning.
The rebirth of paradise,
despoiled by mankind."
"Float Up From Dream" by Akira Yamaoka
which uses Claudia's dialogue as lyrics
The strange woman, Claudia, is dressed in a religous gown, barefoot, & without eyebrows. She speaks in a strange way, almost like reciting scripture, & tells Heather that her powers are needed for the rebirth of paradise.
Heather tries to question Claudia until her head begins to pound; her vision blurs, & she drops to the ground in agony. Claudia walks away seemingly pleased.
"Remember me and your true self as well,
Also that which you must become.
The one who will lead us to paradise
With blood stained hands..."

Valtiel's first sighting
Despite being more confused than before, Heather is adamant on getting home. She enters an elevator, & a radio drops from below, which she sticks in her pocket.
A rusty, jail-like bar slams behind her & two bloody, fleshed monsters are seen fighting on the other side. The elevator descends, & upon exiting, she enters an even more dilapidated version of the building; everything is covered in a dark, red substance, which looks like either rust, or even blood. The dogs howl & snarl as they devour their own kind.
"Not even a kid could believe this."
She accesses the second floor of the mall by using a wire hanger to pull a ladder down. She passes by some televisions, that when turned on only show static, though she was sure she heard someone say "Daddy."
Heather climbs a defunct escalator, & comes across a door with a red cresent moon. The door also has the same symbol she saw before in the restroom, but in blue. Upon it is a poem written in red which reads...
"Piling up the 300th day and night
From beyond the door, cries of pain are heard
And the final destination has become real
Though not a blessed beginning"

The Split Worm
What she finds below is a giant worm-like being, with thick pale skin & purple blotches that resemble veins & bruising underneath. It two huge, fleshy flaps, almost like lips, that it can split open to reveal its face; with no eyes or discernible features, just a gaping mouth with teeth that look like a human's. Thin strips of muscle & goo can be seen connecting its body parts together, as well thicker flesh tubes tangling inside of its maw.
As the creature slinks between the gaps of darkness in the walls, Heather is able to defeat it & finally exit the mall.

Douglas with pants on
Before she's able to reach the subway, she's stopped by the detective again. This time, she accuses the stranger of being "one of them" & asks if he's in on this with that woman. Douglas denies the allegations, but does reveal that Claudia was the one to hire him. They both seem very confused.
He questions Heather about the monsters, but she's more concerned that the strange circumstance might have to do with her. At this point, Heather doesn't know what to believe; she still theorizes he was the one to "drag her into this." Flustered, she heads for the subway home, though she's starting to wonder how she's able to remember things she didn't know she knew.
"But I know there's something.
Something I've been running from,
and forgot for a long time."

A beautiful cat food ad using the font Comic Sans
After stepping inside the very same train, it begins to start again. As the wheels abruptly screech to a hault, Heather exits & finds herself on an empty platform with a maintenance door that leads to the sewer system.

This Heather didn't read the note
A note left by a previous employee warns of a monster lurking in the water that has killed 2 co-workers. Thankfully, somebody left a hairdryer in a storage room, which she can plug in to a conviently placed outlet & electrocute the tenticles.

Heather standing on a filthy mattress
Slipping through a mid-demolished wall, she scales the scaffolding to reach the building next-door where she's able to enter the Hilltop Center Office Building through an open window.

A headless bleeding mannequin
While looking for a way out, Heather finds a home furnishing store & plays around with a bathtub. Suddenly, the drain starts overflowing with blood, & the room starts transforming; the walls & floor appear to be bleeding. Her head starts throbbing again, & she passes out on the floor.
"It's being invaded by the Otherworld.
By a world of someone's
nightmarish delusions come to life..."

A smile & ear nailed to human-like flesh; blood pulsates through its skin
The floral wallpaper is a rotten, greenish-brown color, with small cursive writing etched into it. Various walls have been replaced with chain-link & iron bars; behind them are bodies nailed to the wall, throbbing with gore & pastered in images of body parts.
Heather's Photo
(hover to flip)
Indiscernible beasts are crawling on all fours; growling & snarling with their long, thick noses as they attempt to grab Heather's leg & knock her down.
Heather escapes to quieter room, which seems to once be a mental health office. She finds a note which reads "Find the Holy One. Kill her?" & she flips it over to find it's a photo of herself.
"Heather...
That's what you're called now, isn't it?"

Vincent in the therapy office
"I'm on your side."
"So you say..." Heather replies; She's not convinced. She flips the questions back to him, asking how she can know he's not with "her."
The man is appauled by these accusations, replying that he doesn't want to be lumped together with Claudia; she was brainwashed by a "crazy old hag." Though, he immediately retracts his last statement, saying that calling the woman a "hag" may be a little too cruel...
"She is your mother, after all."

Heather & Vincent in front of peculiar writing
He scoffs, wondering why her father, Harry, never told her anything. Vincent comes to the conclusion that Harry probably wanted to keep Heather on his side, so it's no surprise he'd hide the truth from his own daugther.
"Don't talk about my dad like that!"
Heather punches the door behind her & lunges quickly toward Vincent, which takes him as a surprise. He immediately apologizes, & asks her to calm down.

Heather leaving without answers
Heather pleads to know what's going on, to which he seems surprised yet delighted she hasn't realized it yet. Knowing she won't get any answers here, she heads for the door, but not before telling Vincent;
"There's something wrong with you, too."

A caged being on the ground floor
Blocking the exit of the ground floor is a circular cage with a writhing beast within. Though it looks dangerous, the creature has no interest in harming Heather. Lying in front of the confined monster is a seemingly out of place fairy tale.
The beginning of a fairy tale
(hover to read)
Though the book is torn & incomplete, Heather recalls reading the story before, but doesn't remember how it ends.

Flame Purifies All: By these remains may a person find the road to Paradise.
Upon entering the double doors behind the ashes, Heather finds a few more pages of the fairy tale from before.
The fairy tale continued

The evil beast didn't care for her words or reason, but the sympathetic girl kept trying. Sadly, kindness wouldn't work on this foe, and she was killed in a single blow.
Poor priestess; but here's no time to feel sad, since we still have to get home! Heather grabs a coin & sticks it into a vending machine, which spits out a can with a "Life Insurance" key inside. Not the weirdest thing you can find in a can-

The people of the village were so sad without their priestess. God, hearing their pleads, brought the girl back to life. She reluctanly headed back to the monster to defeat it.
The beast knew what she was here to do, & laughed; Swords, spears, arrows, & even bullets won't work. "You can't kill me." it mocked. But the priestess chanted a singular spell.
"Tu Fui,
Ego Eris."
